About us

Energy Academy (EA) is an independent international educational project for students from all over the world. Institute of Energy as a part of Peter the Great Saint-Petersburg Polytechnic University organises Energy Academy four times a year – 9 courses during Winter and Summer Session; and additionally repeat Hydrogen Energy сourse during Spring and Autumn Session.

The Academy provides the opportunity to attend intensive academic prorgam with lectures, live sessions, interactive online lessons, keynote sessions, cultural course etc.

All studies are developed according to the European requirements and can be recognized as a period abroad. Upon successful completion of the course students are awarded with 4 ECTS credits.

Can be booked at the university campus if free places are available, or found by participants independently. Accommodation fee on the campus: approx. 500 RUB per day

COVID-19 POLICY

For ESA 2025, all our courses will be offered in the choice of two delivery modes:

1. Our Blended Academy option combines on-campus life with online classes for a safe and academically rigorous experience in Saint-Petersburg.

2. We are also pleased to present a Remote Learning option, running alongside our blended learning programme, to allow you the flexibility to study at ESA live from wherever you are in the world.

Blended option

Tuition fee: 45 000 RUB

Remote option

Tuition fee: 30 000 RUB

OPTIONS OF PARTICIPATION

Module Course — 2 weeks of intensive educational lectures and workshops for one chosen Module

Individual Course — 2 weeks of tailor-made lectures and workshops that cover more than one Module for each week of the programme.

Cultural course

Our Academy is held in Saint-Petersburg - one of the most historically significant cities of Russia. Energy Team gives students an opportunity to explore major sights, experience city life and create new memories.

Students will be able to:
1. Find out more about history and culture through online/oncampus lectures.
2. Participate in International Festival to learn more about different countries and backgrounds of our students.

“First of all, I felt welcomed in St. Petersburg right from the start. I already met the lovely energy team at the airport and they took care of everything I needed – for example buying a sim-card, so that I would not get lost. At my first subway ride, I felt like walking through the corridors of a palace. I have never seen such amazing metro stations with chandelier at the top, mosaic pictures on the walls or for example a statue of Pushkin at Pushkinskaya. But these are just metro stations so one can imagine how beautiful the real palaces such as the Winter Palace (The Hermitage) or the Catherine palace look like. You should come and see for yourself! After the morning lectures of Renewable Energy, I had still the whole day to explore the city with my spb gang (inside joke). I started to fall in love with the city and the people from Energy Academy became my friends. I had an amazing time and due to cheap pcr-tests & caution all of that was possible even though covid-19 has not overcome yet.”
